Andy Toth - Actor, Director, Educator, Integralist
Andy Toth is a professional actor, director, producer and teacher living in Vancouver. Andy Toth recently won an Ovation Award for his whirlwind performance of Edna in Hairspray (Arts Club) after only 17 Hours of rehearsal! Other stage credits include Company (Arts Club) and Urinetown, The Musical (Firehall Theatre). Other credits include Tony ‘n’ Tina’s Weding, Balthazaar and the Mojo Star and Corpus Christi with Hoarse Raven Theatre. Audiences saw more (like too-much-more…) of Andy in the Patrick Street Production of The Full Monty. Directing credits include The Fantasticks, Assassins, and Last Call…a Post-Nuclear Cabaret with Quintessence Musicals, West Side Story with the Chilliwack Academy of Music, and Anne of Green Gables for the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra. Andy also had the pleasure of directing Canadian Icon and CBC radio legend Jurgen Gothe in his hilarious wine show Up Your Glass… a wine entertainment. Andy coaches voice and integrated musical theatre performance at Capilano University and at Arts Umbrella, is an Artistic Associate with the award winning youth company Awkward Stage Productions, has been a guest lecturer at SFU, and teaches at Knight of Music in Lynn Valley and his own studio at home. He continues to have an active interest in the emergent Integral Theory developed by Ken Wilbur, and continues to hone his teaching and his craft accordingly.
